We had a wonderful time. Mongolia is a well kept secret travel location. Our guide Delguun, in Mongolia, and Jessica, in China, were wonderful and in keeping with Gate 1's record of outstanding guides.

We had a wonderful time in Newfoundland. It was everything we had hoped for and more. We thoroughly enjoyed the whale watching and icebergs and the coast line of Newfoundland. Our tour guide, Karen, was absolutely amazing and she took such good care of us during our tour. She went above and beyond in her services to us. Out of all our Gate 1 trips, she is by far the best tour manager for us. I would travel with her again in the future.

This was our 5th Gate 1 trip and one of the best trips we have done with any company or on our own.

Fabulous trip from start to finish! Our guide was wonderful and charming. The trip was a once in a lifetime experience for our family. Our son, Nicholas, was born in Beijing in 2003. This was his first time to visit his birthplace since we adopted him in 2005. So the trip was a pilgrimage for him, and he now has a great appreciation for his heritage.

The trip was wonderful. Doug, our director was excellent, as were our local guide, Mariela, and our driver. The tour group was always on time and the schedule was interesting and educational. No complaints. Will recommend this trip to others.

We had a fantastic time. Our guides were extraordinary and they were very knowledgeable. Daniel was our guide and we enjoyed every minute of him. We so many animals. It was beyond our expectations. Seeing so many lions, eight cheetahs, and two leopards is beyond our dreams. The hotels were very appreciated. We will definitely consider Gate 1 again.

I had high hopes & expectations for this trip. I've waited all my adult life to go to Africa & finally, my husband agreed to go. Our expectations were exceeded & this was the best trip of my life. Beautiful scenery, friendly people, amazing animal & bird life - nothing was missing.

The Peru trip was excellent. Scenery was spectacular, activities all very interesting. Tour guide Egbert was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Felt very well looked after. Accommodations and food were above expectations and very enjoyable. I would highly recommend the tour. Touring at high altitude was arduous but all part of the travel experience.

My trip to Mongolia was much more fabulous than I ever expected. This was partly due to Gamba, our knowledgeable and fun tour guide and the other part due to the friendliness of the Mongolian people. It was wonderful to travel and see different parts of Mongolia and see their different ways of living day to day. I will highly recommend this trip to all my travel friends.

The trip was wonderful and 100% satisfied especially our tour manager Nicola. He is an excellent tour manager. I learned a lot of information and history on all the countries we visited.

This Tanzania safari trip was a wonderful life time experience. We have seen migration of wildebeests and zebras in Serengeti National Park and the sunrise balloon ride and English breakfast was also a wonderful experience. We saw a lot of wildlife in all four national parks. The three tour managers in our group were very nice and helpful. Our tour manager and safari driver, Malcolm, was able to help us find out when and where wildlife was so we could see them closely. We took a lot of very nice photos. The foods and accommodations were also very good.

By far the best vacation I have been on. Tanzania was an extraordinary experience. Beautiful country with very friendly people. I think for this type of trip the tour guide really makes the trip if they are as knowledgeable as ours Timothy was. He was so patient with us and really had so much knowledge about the animals and the bush. This trip was very well done especially with the accommodations for being really out in the bush.

Our trip to the Balkans was wonderful! Nikola was an amazing tour coordinator that helped make the trip a perfect one. Once more, amazing memories Gate 1 helped make!

The trip to Greece was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone. Jenny, our tour guide, was the best tour guide I've ever had and I've taken many tours with various companies. She's extremely knowledgeable and also very conscious of her travelers' needs. I recommend her highly. I truly believe it was because of her, her knowledge and guidance that made the trip so enjoyable. She's a real asset to Gate 1 in Greece.

Greece trip was wonderful. The tour was excellent and Jenny was a fantastic guide. All of the sites we visited were incredible and very interesting.

This trip was fantastic! Everything! Malcolm, the guide was superb -- knowledgeable, experienced in everything "outdoors", interested and practiced in what was important to all of us, and just plain fun. Each day, each event was worthy -- New Zealand is spectacular -- its environs and people are very welcoming. We loved the variety and level of activities offered. And -- the food all along the way was wonderful.

We have been on many Gate 1 Tours and all where very good however this one stands out at the very top. Not only did we see and learn a lot but our Tour Manager, Mohamed, was over the top. Of all the excellent Tour Managers, Mohamed is way above them all. He was very thing a Tour Manager is to be and more!! Absolutely the best in all areas. The local guides were excellent for the most and the Sahara trip and the tents were amazing and great fun!! We will highly recommend this trip to friends but we always recommend Gate 1 to all who ask.

The trip was wonderful and far exceeded my expectations.............from the different towns we visited, to the wide variety of animals the first class accommodations, and especially our guides/drivers- Jeff and James. These 2 were wonderful and very accommodating......and that's not always easy with multiple people and personalities. They were great and I would recommend them to anyone who goes to Kenya. Overall, the Gate 1 experience was remarkable. I will definitely use Gate 1 again and I'm already considering my next adventure. I've also recommended Gate 1 to several of my friends since I've been back. Thank you for helping make my experience so wonderful...........you will definitely hear from me again!

Our trip was great. We liked our small group of 14. We had seen two very interesting and different countries. Gate 1 did a fine job as always in showing us highlights and important landmarks.

Once again, Gate 1 gave us an amazing trip with first class accommodations and the best tour guides at a very good price. Morocco is a beautiful and diverse country. We especially enjoyed spending the night in the dessert. We are looking forward to our next, fifth, trip with Gate 1.

John was a fabulous tour director. He was very well prepared with interesting information about every place we passed or visited. Very organized, thinks of everything, knows the country well, great personality. The tour itinerary was excellent, we were on the go most of the time, making good use of our time in New Zealand. Hotels and included meals were very good. Bus drivers were excellent and even provided additional commentary. Absolutely no complaints.

Outstanding. Everything was perfect including the weather. Out tour manager Noelle was fantastic. Nothing but high praise and thanks for her. Australis expedition ship and all the experiences were top notch. This was my fourth trip with Gate 1 and they have all been excellent.

The Cuba trip was superb! So pleased with how it was organized, what we saw and what we did. I learned so much about the country, it's people and culture. Joseph was great as tour manager as was Mariela as tour guide.

Touring Japan was a wonderful experience. Everything went well - no glitches and lots of good food and comfortable lodgings.

Our trip was just great, very informative, we enjoyed every moment. The (Pyramids) temples as they call them were a new experience for us, the food was different then we are use to ,but good, the accommodations were a joy, the weather can not be beat in Mexico . Anyhow we did stay a extra 4 nights in Mexico City and enjoyed even more of this fantastic City and culture, I bet we did enjoyed the City more than our fellow travelers because we had more time …..the tour guide was tremendous a great help to everyone and so courteous and friendly, We had the opportunity to do the “Copper Canyon “tour last year also with Bonifacio as our tour guide and had the same great experience, we certainly would recommend Gate 1 to anyone for a Mexican experience .

It was the one of the BEST trips we ever took, very well done! Tour manager Lucas was amazing!! We could have never done this ourself, the group we were with was so fun, we had a great time! We will definitely choose Discovery tours again!

We had a wonderful trip. Our tour leader was terrific. The hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto were really first rate--very clean and the staff were very accommodating. The other 2 were also fine. Our itinerary each day was really well planned. We loved the extras--dressing in kimonos, sushi lesson, meditation class. Our group had only nine people which was a real treat to be in such a small group. I'm glad that this trip was not discontinued for this year so others can enjoy it as much as we did. We can't wait to take our next trip with Gate 1 (actually we're scheduled for Italy in October).

Gate 1 came through again with another great tour. This is our fifth time to travel with them. Our tour guides were excellent. Hotels were exceptional in Cuba. The food was delicious. In fact, I have never eaten so much as on this trip. People to People is a good way to see the country and meet with a lot of locals—young and old. We will definitely travel with Gate 1 in the future.

I cannot stop talking about how fabulous this trip was! Every morning we had an incredible day planned for us. I had expected to see a lot but was not prepared for all the amazing experiences we had. I travel with 3 girlfriends every other year as our schedules permit, we each have a chance to pick out a dream trip with all our inputs so everyone is happy. As this was my friends choice, I hadn't done any research other than wanting to see Halong Bay, but I knew from previous travels with Gate 1 that we would be pleased. Pleased? I was dazzled everyday! I could not have been any happier with the itinerary, the program director, the guides, the hotels, meals, and the experiences of local transportation and the local people we met. Thank you Gate 1 for providing such a wonderful travel memory for me.

I have to say our trip was absolutely fantastic! Everything from the amazing sights to the superb tour and tour guide Khalid , and the weather was beyond expectations. All flights were on time and no problems with any luggage. We also made it around Spain with no problems whatsoever . Thank you very much! We can't wait for next year!

Our trip was fabulous. Pavel, our guide, was the best resource that we ever could have wished for. He gave us so many opportunities to learn about the culture and to meet local people. Keep him happy! He is your best asset in Peru.

It was memorable . We loved the small group size and lucked out with a great group of travelers. Itinerary was well planned and the guide and drivers were all informed, professional and a pleasure to spend two weeks with traversing the north and south islands. It was our first Gate 1 experience. We will join a Discovery tour again.

I had a wonderful time. Cuba was everything I expected and lots more. Our guide Heidi was so knowledgeable, helpful, cheerful, accommodating, calm, fun and resourceful. Our local guide Mariella was sweet, cheery, informative, willing and eager to answer our many questions, and provided us with the Cuban view in a gentle style. Our driver Amoudi was calm under the pressure of driving through crowded narrow streets in rush hour traffic, calm when there was no gasoline available in several stations, always on time, and very helpful. Our accommodations, meals, itinerary, and daily events were all the best. WHAT A GREAT TRIP GATE 1 PROVIDED.

All our Gate 1 trips have been wonderful but there is nothing like this one--no comparison. It was exciting, meditative, mind opening. Our guides, (ours were Daniel in Kenya and George in Tanzania) were educated, learned, articulate, extremely competent, consistently amiable, and so great at spotting animal and other life in the natnl. parks. The chefs, espescially at the camp on the Serengeti, were terrific. The tent boy, Robert, at the same camp was a dear and did his job with grace and to perfection. I'd like to go back see Nogorongo and Samburo again, fly into the Masai Mara and then go on to the Serengeti for three more days lastly flying out from Kilimanjaro rather than going back to Nairobi. Thus making about a ten day trip. Thank you so much for fitting us in to the other very compatible groups.

OUTSTANDING...AMAZING...Exceeded our expectations! Our guide for 24 days was Marina from Buenos Aires. She was a ball of fire and kept us laughing. Her knowledge was great...a walking encyclopedia. The m/s Midnatsol was a perfect ship to ply the waters of the Drake Channel, Patagonia and Antarctica. The Expedition Team took us for "landings" and "cruising's" each day and were so informative! Sites we saw were unbelievable...so many penguins, humpback whales, seals, icebergs and thousands of glaciers. A perfect trip that all agreed was a trip of a lifetime! Thank you Gate 1 for always being there for us from the time we arrived in the airport from the USA till your guide put us on the plane home. It was our 5th trip with Gate 1 and we look forward to our Morocco adventure in September.
