Our trip to Chile and Argentina was truly stellar! Our Tour Manager Lucas really stands out in his friendliness, knowledge and commitment to providing us with an outstanding travel experience. The itinerary was filled with variety and so many opportunities to learn and enjoy many beautiful places and people. It was so interesting to go by bus across the Andes, very inspiring land. The wineries and food were wonderful and we so enjoyed ChaCha the lady who taught us to make empanadas, and also the wine blending competition for our group. The tango show, music and dinner were outstanding in Buenos Aires.

A more than excellent adventure - I am still reminiscing on the joy this trip brought everyone. Marina is A MORE THAN EXCELLENT tour manager - - she did everything plus more. I recall immediately upon checking into the hotel getting a phone call asking if we were ok and ready for the orientation meeting. Marina is friendly, funny, organized and if/when I go to Antarctica I hope she is the tour manager as well. She is able to multi-task, ensure those who are not as active and those super active maximize their vacation. She helps everyone including food servers, crew on the boat, directing traffic at the airport etc etc. We could not have asked for more. THANK YOU to Marina for making this vacation the best - - it definitely ranks in the top 2. Please share this with her as well!

The trip was amazing! Everything was so well planned out, and we participated in wonderful activities. I had not never thought about traveling to Chile before, but we did back-to-back Antarctica and Chile tours. I loved Chile! Santiago was a great town to visit, but the real thrill was visiting Patagonia. We loved our two nights in Torres Del Paine. Someone said that the tour next year will not be at this park and will bus in. I think that is a big mistake as those two nights were so peaceful and wonderful, enjoying all that nature. The cruise was also fantastic! I loved everything about the boat and our excursions there. Great Staff! The other thing that made the trip so wonderful was our amazing tour guide Cristobal. He was so much fun, so informative, and so helpful. He really was the cherry on top to a wonderful trip.

It was a wonderful journey. We spent 33 days altogether. From Amazon jungle to Machu Picchu, from Rio to Iguazú Falls, from Buenos Aires to Easter Island, and with São Paulo between the two tours. So many scenic places, so many attractions and so many stories with friendly tour mates from across the States. A bit tired but very excited. All I can say is your introduction and Gate 1's programme and organising. We took 12 flights across the South America continent and return flights from Sydney to Santiago. Thank you so much for your great effort to make this journey possible.

This was our first trip with Gate 1. It was an excellent experience. We particularly wanted to say how much we enjoyed having Maxi as our guide. We travelled a lot and he was outstanding. We appreciated all the small things that he did above and beyond to enhance our trip, such as showing us how to make mates and explaining the culture around that tradition. Also, he was great at providing suggestions for things to do and restaurants that we really enjoyed. He has a good feeling for the individuals in the group.

Well, just wow! What a fantastic 2-week journey to the end of the world... The Glaciers and waterfalls, penguins, zodiac rides, mountains, hotels, all just fabulous. I was especially fond of the Hotel Las Torres. The hikes were challenging enough and scenery extraordinary. The ship and expedition crew were all professional, knowledgeable and very helpful to the guests. My room on the ship was so comfortable, clean and pristine with a wall-to-ceiling window. I was the only one from G1 to go on a particularly challenging hike and I completed it. It was truly amazing. You certainly won't go hungry on the cruise. I met lots of wonderful folks on the ship from other tour groups and travelers on their own. We also had the best tour manager, Lucas! He was warm, funny, a wealth of knowledge and very helpful. He was attentive to his group. He made sure everyone got what they needed, liked their food choices, made special accommodations for those who needed them. Treated everyone well. This trip was in the top 5 of my many, many G1 trips!!

Out of the several trips I have taken with Gate, the Patagonia trip was the best I have had, a trip of a lifetime to remember. The hotels, food and accommodation were excellent, especially since I am vegetarian, I was a bit skeptical about being able to eat healthily, but it was made easy by your company. I want to send out a special shout out to our guide, Pablo, who made the trip even more memorable. His care in looking after us, his efficiency in everything he did, was par excellent. He gave the best suggestions for food and sightseeing on the free days we had. His passion and knowledge for his work comes through clearly. Everybody knew him, the local guides, the restaurant we went to, other travel guides, so much so that another Gate 1 group asked him questions too. He made everyone feel comfortable and taken care of. He is an amazing person; I hope others find him as wonderful as we did.

Just completed 13-day Chile and Argentina with Patagonia's Glaciers and enjoyed a fabulous adventure. The vistas of Torres del Paine and The Towers were jaw-dropping and the hikes spectacular. Glacier National Park was far beyond anything we expected. Our Tour Manager Pablo was our Best Ever (this was our 12th Gate 1 trip). He was so fun and genuinely shared his love for the countries and expertise about how to fully enjoy ourselves and experience the cultures.

People had said that traveling to Antarctica would be the trip of a lifetime. That doesn't even begin to cover it. It was remarkable in every way. I would especially like to compliment our tour manager Ricardo (there for our every need and incredibly understanding and knowledgeable) and HX. When the Argentinian airports were on strike the day we were to fly to Buenos Aires on our way home, Ricardo worked tirelessly to resolve the situation for us. As for HX, we took the Gate 1 trip including a Hurtigruten cruise up the coast of Norway several years ago and were very impressed with the company. The experience on the Roald Amundsen exceeded that. I encourage you to continue your partnership with these companies.

Nacho was an amazing tour director. He is passionate about and loves his job. He took great care of every detail of our trip to ensure our safety and that we were all happy. He promoted group harmony (familia) and cohesiveness, and it was excellent. Nacho is extremely knowledgeable about each site we visited. It's Nacho who makes me want to book another Gate1 trip. I wish he could be my tour manager on every trip. Gate 1 is very lucky to have him.

The trip was Excellent! Paola the tour manager was better than Excellent! She took great care of us throughout the tour and really fostered the group into one big happy family. She was always concerned about making all the tour members feel welcome and ensuring that they enjoyed their tour. I wondered how useful a tour manager would be while on board the ship (We have cruised extensively on our own) but after experiencing what Paola did for us while on the ship I can see a great advantage to having her on the cruise. From daily reminders of meal times, expedition times and interesting programs, to ensuring that the tour members got seats in the lectures, to reserving a group of tables for dinners, to checking on all the tour members at breakfast/lunch, to requesting tea, honey and ginger from the waitstaff for passengers that were suffering from colds. She has a great service mentality and couldn't help not only serving us, but helping other passengers with translation and answering questions. The Grand Recoleta Hotel was very good and HX Expeditions was excellent. Our overall experience was outstanding and we have told several others that if they are interested in Antarctica to check out Gate 1. Especially if they could get Paola as their tour manager.

The trip was amazing! Everything was perfect including the weather. The HX ship and services were outstanding. I am so glad that is the ship that Gate 1 uses. Our guide Paola was OUTSTANDING! She is the best guide I have ever had - kind, patient, super organized, and thorough. And she had a large group - 39 people. Paolo is a treasure and. Gate 1 is lucky to have her. We just finished this 21 day Antarctic Circle cruse . It was wonderful . The Tour Manager Marina was awesome in all possible way. This was our 25th trip and we have not seen a manager that caring and involved in all activities taking care of each and everyone and keeping close eye on all of us . Her knowledge and experience helped us to understand lots of things. She will be an asset to the company.

This was my first time traveling with Gate 1 Travel, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Our tour manager, Jorge, was amazing and truly went above and beyond. He was extremely organized, detail-oriented, and always had a great sense of humor. Managing a large group and keeping everyone on schedule can't be easy, yet Jorge handled it effortlessly - and always with a smile. He consistently put the needs of the group ahead of his own and made sure every detail was taken care of, from boarding passes to smooth transitions throughout the trip. Thanks to Jorge, everything went off without a hitch. I'm so glad I decided to give Gate 1 a try, and I feel confident saying I'm looking forward to many more trips with them in the future. It exceeded my expectations and then some! The Tango Show was spectacular! Our guide, Silvia, was a jewel and she brought it all together. The cruise was so much more than I expected. We had perfect weather which helped, but the crew and staff went above and beyond! I appreciated the drinks being included in the price of the trip. The cabin size was wonderful. I am so excited to get the professional photographer's slideshow presentation and other photos. My photos are unbelievably wonderful. This was the trip of a lifetime!

My trip to Patagonia was one of the best trips I have taken with a group and Alex was one of the best tour directors I have had. The trip was multi-layered. We saw beautiful things, learned and experienced the culture of Chile and Argentina that included food, history, information about different aspects of the countries. Our tour manager, Flavio, was superb. Choice of hotels & food in Chile was the best. Hotels in Argentina was great but food wasn't as great as in Chile. Everyone was courteous & nice ( tour guides especially Diego & all the drivers)

This was my first tour with Gate1 and my first tour since my honeymoon nearly 60 years ago. I was surprised by the diversity of the group, and they were younger than I had anticipated. There were 4 unaccompanied men, I had thought there would only be couples and single women. But what struck me most was how well they travelled. One lovely gentleman had visited an astounding 128 countries. The group was friendly and respectful, very caring, led by and encouraged by the Tour Manager. The tour manager was a delightful lady who loved her city and made much effort to make us feel the same way. She went above and beyond my expectation with her helpfulness, kindness, expertise and organizational ability. I am now booked for my 2nd Gate 1 tour.

Our 15-day Antarctica Expedition Cruise was amazing, and we had a spectacular time during our entire trip. We were very pleased with the quality and level of service provided to us during our trips with Gate1 Travels, Sofitel Hotel, our tour guide "Santi" and Hurtigruten HX onboard Ms Fridtjof ship. The ship was beautiful and clean, and our cabin was very spacious, clean and beautiful. The staff on the ship were very attentive and courteous. I look forward to booking another trip with Gate1 Travels in the near future.

We had a great time. Chris and all his helpers were like family. They told us everything we questioned and more. The hikes were beautiful and trails were kept up well.

I would like to commend our Tour Manager Lucas for being excellent, awesome, very knowledgeable, extremely organized, super friendly, helpful, caring for our safety and needs all the time, and creating harmony in the group! He represented Gate 1 to the max! He is an incredible person with a good heart, kind, respectable and would go far in this company! He is authentic and loves what he does. He even used his free time to take us around San Telmo because only 1 signed up for the Gaucho Day tour who went with the local guide. Lucas is an asset to Gate 1. Marco was an exceptional tour manager in every sense of the word. From the first day of the tour to the final load-out. Logistics were handled flawlessly: travel, accommodations, schedules, and advancing were always clear, accurate, and proactively managed. When inevitable challenges arose - as always do on tour - Marco addressed them quickly and thoughtfully, often before anyone else even realized there was an issue. Marco created an atmosphere of trust and respect among the group. Even when challenges came up, he was met with good humor and quick solutions, which kept the entire group relaxed and focused. Thanks to Marco's leadership, the tour ran smoothly, stayed on schedule, and felt remarkably well organized even under pressure. The tour was better, smoother, and more enjoyable because of him. I would not hesitate for a second to work with him again.

This was my first Gate 1 trip and only my second group trip. It was absolutely perfect and not only met my high expectations (so many friends love your company) but exceeded them. Our Tour Manager, Camilo, was excellent. First of all I loved his low key nature since I feared an over the top tour guidey personality. He was concerned about all of us and kept tabs on everyone without it feeling over the top. He gave each of us two personal artistic gifts custom made by his wife that I will treasure. The local guides, especially the hiking guides were also excellent. It was so fun meeting younger hikers/climbers to talk to on our hikes. They became friends for the duration yet did a good job keeping tabs on everyone. The hotels and food were all excellent.

Both my sister and I thought this was an outstanding trip from the varied itinerary, to the excellent food and wines, very good hotels and above all, the most engaging, helpful, professional tour guide one could ever want. Our tour guide, Silvia, made this tour absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond to ensure we were all looked after and even continued to do so after the tour ended. I think we will be talking about this trip for a very long time.

Our Tour manager/guide Maria was excellent at dealing with us. She was very knowledgeable, polite, and above all very professional in her work. Personally, I was 100% satisfied and enjoyed every step of my tour with her. She is truly a caring person. We need more tour managers like her.

Just completed our first trip with Gate1 and overall, it was outstanding. I hope future trips can live up to the expectations set by this one. Our enjoyment of the trip was in large part due to the excellence of the tour manager Lucas, and I wanted to highlight him specifically. Our trip had several issues crop up - multiple lost luggage and major weather disruption. He handled these extremely well, with great communication, setting expectations clearly and maintaining trip momentum. Throughout the whole trip he was alert and sensitive to making sure all aspects of the experience were optimal for all the group members. Absolutely top notch!

We just completed a tour to South America. Lucas was our tour manager. He is such a great person. He took care of us all very well. Many times, he did work over and above our expectations. For example, He got the boarding passes for all, and the luggage tags a night before from the airport. This saves lot of time at the airport. Always on time and available for help. I wish him all the success in life. On the scale of 1 to 10, I will rate him 1000.

We just wanted to say more about our tour manager Virginia. She was very organized. She prepared us VERY WELL for every day of the trip. She went out of her way, for example, taking people shopping that didn't have the right gear for our excursions. She was very easy-going and never showed any frustration, she always had a smile. She was very helpful getting us an Uber for going back to the airport at the end of our trip. She called the driver to give him directions on how to approach the hotel as the street was closed. She did this for others as well who were leaving by Uber. I just can't say enough about her, she deserves a raise!
