For those claims not eligible for Travel Protection coverage, CFAR will allow for a future credit, less applicable fees outlined below. Travel Protection and CFAR benefits may not be combined.
  • Independent or escorted tour reservations will be eligible for a future travel credit equal to the full cost of your trip, less the cost of initial deposit, airline-assessed fees, amendment fees, and insurance premium.
  • Sea or river cruise reservations will be eligible for a future travel credit equal to 50% of the cost of your trip, less the cost of initial trip deposit, airline-assessed fees, amendment fees, and insurance premium.
CFAR credits are valid for a period of two years from the original date of travel. CFAR Credits have no cash value and are not transferrable.

Airline-assessed fees for flight cancellations are generally $300 per person.  Non-refundable tickets may retain partial value, in which case you will have a future air credit which must be used with the same airline.  Deadlines to rebook and complete travel with your credit will vary by airline.  You may need to rebook travel prior to your original date of departure, and travel may need to be completed as early as 12 months from when the tickets were originally issued.
