This is an active trip. Our small group covers a lot of ground each day, and we spend 2-3 hours on our feet during tours. The pace is fast, with 4 one-night stays, 3 two-nights stays, and 1 three-night stay. Three days require long transfers by shuttle bus. Some of our tours require walking over uneven surfaces or up and down steep slopes or steps. We have many early mornings. This tour is not recommended for people who have difficulty walking or who have heart conditions.

Depart for a morning excursion to the scenic Ourika Valley in the Atlas Mountains. Nestled at the foot of the famous ski resort Oukaimeden, the Ourika Valley rises slowly to the first hills of the High Atlas, where typical Moroccan villages are scattered amidst the towering mountains. Ourika is also famous for its “Botanic organic gardens.” During the visit, you will discover the main herbs from the region and their many uses, including culinary, health, and beauty. Enjoy lunch at the gardens and afterwards, you’ll receive a “berber foot bath” with warm water, sea salt scented with essential oils and seaweed, while tasting herbal tea composed of 8 plants of the garden.

We have been on many Gate 1 Tours and all where very good however this one stands out at the very top. Not only did we see and learn a lot but our Tour Manager, Mohamed, was over the top. Of all the excellent Tour Managers, Mohamed is way above them all. He was very thing a Tour Manager is to be and more!! Absolutely the best in all areas. The local guides were excellent for the most and the Sahara trip and the tents were amazing and great fun!! We will highly recommend this trip to friends but we always recommend Gate 1 to all who ask.Robert L. Malvern, PA
Once again, Gate 1 gave us an amazing trip with first class accommodations and the best tour guides at a very good price. Morocco is a beautiful and diverse country. We especially enjoyed spending the night in the dessert. We are looking forward to our next, fifth, trip with Gate 1.Christine O. Missouri City, TX
I have to say our trip was absolutely fantastic! Everything from the amazing sights to the superb tour and tour guide Khalid , and the weather was beyond expectations. All flights were on time and no problems with any luggage. We also made it around Spain with no problems whatsoever . Thank you very much! We can't wait for next year!Kathleen F. Ontario, Canada
OMG! The trip was amazing! Everything was wonderful: the food, the accommodation, the bus and driver and the last but not the least: the guide. Mr. Ibrahim, full of knowledge, fun and very careful with our needs! Absolutely, with no mistake. Thank you, Gate 1 for doing such a great job. I'll be looking forward to have another adventure with next year!Margareta I. New York, NY
The 15 day trip to Morocco is unforgettable. I would not have missed it for the world. My husband and I loved the trip. The structure of the trip was clearly thought out and planned beautifully. It gave me a great overview of the people, the culture, the way of live and much more about Morocco that books could not cover. The experience is above and beyond I could ask for. The hotels, the Riads, the Kasbahs were thoughtfully picked, the excursions and the food was a delight. Ibrahim (our guide) was the best, he topped my expectation as a guide. He was conscious of all of the people in the group. Aware of their capacity and their needs i.e. in respect to walking distances and stairs since some of the people in our group were older. He made sure that we were all accommodated. The group that we went with turned out to be awesome. I met some wonderful people. I loved that we had a great mix of intellectual individuals e.g. geologist/archeologist, nurses, professors, lawyer, project managers, etc... the group was a mixture of couples/singles who just want to experience the culture. Ibrahim, knowing this made sure that we all got what we came for and made sure to accommodated all of us. It made the trip worthwhile. The friendship and experiences that I have gained in this trip has been the highlight of this trip. THANK YOU IBRAHIM. THANK YOU GATE 1 for this awesome trip yet again for me. My 2nd time with Gate1. Looking forward to many more and yes, I would recommend to friends, family and colleagues to which I have been since I got back.Raquel K. Carmichael, CA
We had an excellent time. Ham, the Guide, was superb. Morocco is a great place to visit with a deep history and culture. Thanks to Gate 1 we saw a good part of it.David E. Ontario, Canada

A great trip, Gate 1 did a top job.Howard B. QLD, Australia
It was the best! Our tour guide, Khalid, was outstanding! The small hotels were beautiful and the food was lovely. Loved Morocco. Will watch for another Discovery tour with Gate 1 one day soon.Diana M. Live Oak, CA
It was a wonderful trip. Our guide Larbi was the BEST, so kind and generous and sensitive to all our needs. The tour group was very compatible with everyone helpful and fun to be with. Morocco is a beautiful country and I fully enjoyed the entire experience and would recommend Gate 1 to friends and family.Dana S. Santa Fe, NM
This was a great trip!! It's too bad more USA citizens don't realize how wonderful Morrocco is. They are afraid to travel to Muslim countries. This is so sad. As such travel would awaken them to such a warm, beautiful and welcoming country. We had the best guide I have ever had, Larbi. He is intelligent, patient, generous, honest and understands his job thoroughly. He provided us I depth information and if he didn't know the answer to a question, he would find out quickly. We all loved Larbi. Please treat him well as he is a sterling representative for your company. The hotels and food were superb! The only suggestion for improvement I have is one less day in Marrakech and one more day in essaouria. Lovely place!! Thanks so much Gate 1 for a lovely trip! I'm recommending it to all my friends.Phyllis R. Worland, WY
The trip was great! Nice balance between lively, intense stops (eg, Fez, Marrakech) followed by tranquil stays (eg, the Sahara, Essouria). The Tour Manager, Sninat, was the best Tour Manager we've had, not just with Gate 1 but with another touring company we've used extensively in the past. You hit a home run!Eileen M. Briarcliff, NY
It was fabulous, one of the best I've been on. The weather was great, the scenery magnificent, and the people and our guide were awesome. Certainly wished I was back in Morocco on Saturday when it snowed here. Thanks for following up. Would certainly recommend the trip and Gate 1.Anita Z. Wayne, PA
We had a wonderful time and the trip was everything and more we hoped it would be. I can say the Sninat was a fantastic trip manager. Everything was seamless. I have been singing the praises of this fascinating adventure. The desert in the camp was quite the memory. This is the second time we have used Gate 1.Landrea D. Ft Lauderdale, FL
